At Vaya, we love small and medium sized businesses (SMBs) and the entrepreneurs behind them. That's because SMBs make the goods and services we all use every day and they provide jobs and income for most people in an economy. We believe that if SMBs succeed, whole economies and countries prosper! But, we know that succeeding as an SMB is hard for many reasons. One of the big ones is that entrepreneurs struggle to get the credit they need to run and grow their businesses.
Our mission at Vaya is to fundamentally unlock access to credit for small businesses everywhere! We enable seamless access to credit for SMBs by making it available ubiquitously in the apps and tools they use to run their business. We do that by partnering with the digital platforms and marketplaces where more and more SMBs are doing their work.
We are building the tech that will let our partners embed or weave in access to credit so that SMBs can get credit where they are and when they need it. That's why we named the company Vaya — which means to weave in Sanskrit —and why we generally map to the embedded finance landscape. Vaya is backed by a strong group of investors and founded by Ankit Singh and Soham Sen. Our team has a lot of experience in building products and infrastructure for payments and lending. At heart we are software product builders that are looking to assemble a special team that will redefine small business lending as we know it!
We know that every company is looking for smart people who can get things done, and of course, we value that too. But, there is more to our culture than the work that has to get done today.
